David was born and raised in North Dakota, earning a degree in finance from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, while managing to pitch a few innings for their college baseball team.  He worked with what is now Wells Fargo Invesments for 8 1/2 years, earning his first securities registrations in 1997 and his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2001.  In 2005, David founded Financial Advisors in Spearfish and earned his Series 24 General Securities Principal registration currently held through LPL Financial.  After 16+ years in wealth management, David has found the relationships he has formed with many of his clients is what he values and enjoys the most.  David's expertise areas have developed around retirement and income planning for clients of various ages.  Financial Advisors of the Black Hills was established to provide ongoing professional advice to investors while helping them pursue their individual investment goals by offering objective financial advice.
